Who is Thriving Mums?

Thriving Mums is a coaching business dedicated to supporting mums as they navigate motherhood—particularly the transition away from work and the return back into the workplace.

Motherhood brings profound personal and professional change. Thriving Mums exists to support women through this transition with practical, grounded coaching that acknowledges both the emotional and logistical realities of becoming a mother while maintaining a career.

Our mission is to empower mums to thrive in both their careers and family life. We provide practical coaching, tools, and support to help mums prepare for parental leave, navigate matrescence, and return to work with greater clarity and confidence.

Our vision is a world where all mums feel supported and have access to the right resources to navigate matrescence and the transition back to work without having to choose between their career ambitions and their family.

“Matrescence is the process of adapting to the series of changes associated with becoming and being a mother” - Matrescence NZ

When I first became a mum, I remember feeling as though the world around me had shifted — yet no one could explain why, or give language to what I was experiencing. I knew I had changed, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. When I was introduced to the concept of matrescence, everything began to make sense.

I believe every mother deserves this understanding and support, particularly when navigating one of the most significant matrescence transitions: returning to work.
